Cette année le congrès a eu lieu à Amsterdam du 8 au 11 Octobre 2021.
Celui-ci rassemble les professionnels de l’optique du monde entier.
L’ESCRS a été fondée en 1991 pour promouvoir l’éducation et la recherche dans le domaine de l’implantation et de la chirurgie réfractive et pour faire progresser et promouvoir l’étude et la pratique de l’ophtalmologie. L’ESCRS cherche à promouvoir et à soutenir la recherche dans le domaine de l’implantation de lentilles intraoculaires, de la chirurgie réfractive et la diffusion des résultats utiles de celle-ci.
L’ESCRS compte aujourd’hui plus de 7 500 membres dans 130 pays du monde entier.
Quantel Medical quant à eux ont été créée en 1993, Ils sont une filiale du groupe français Lumibird. Ses activités sont le développement, la fabrication et la commercialisation de solutions innovantes en lasers et échographes médicaux.
Présent et reconnu depuis plus de 15 ans dans le domaine de l’ophtalmologie, Quantel Medical s’ouvre en 2018 à de nouveaux marchés en proposant une gamme d’échographes Point-of-Care répondant idéalement, entre autres, aux besoins d’imagerie en médecine générale, musculo-squelettique, médecine d’urgence et anesthésie/réanimation.
En juillet 2020, Lumibird Medical fait l’acquisition d’Ellex, société australienne implantée au Japon, États-Unis et en France, bénéficiant également d’une renommée et forte expérience sur le marché ophtalmique international.

This year the congress took place in Amsterdam from 8 to 11 October 2021.
The congress brings together optical professionals from all over the world.
The ESCRS was founded in 1991 to promote education and research in the field of implantation and refractive surgery and to advance and promote the study and practice of ophthalmology. The ESCRS seeks to promote and support research in the field of intraocular lens implantation and refractive surgery and the dissemination of its useful results.
The ESCRS currently has more than 7,500 members in 130 countries around the world.
Quantel Medical was founded in 1993 and is a subsidiary of the French group Lumibird. Its activities are the development, manufacturing and marketing of innovative solutions in lasers and medical ultrasound.
Present and recognized for more than 15 years in the field of ophthalmology, Quantel Medical opens in 2018 to new markets by offering a range of Point-of-Care ultrasound scanners ideally responding, among others, to imaging needs in general medicine, musculoskeletal, emergency medicine and anesthesia / resuscitation.
